The grants committee of the Trust meets about five or six times a year. The closing date for applications is listed on the website. We send out notification of grants about three weeks after the closing date for applications.

Please apply 2-3 months before your course starts. For example, if your course starts in January, you should apply for a grant in October.
We normally pay fees directly to colleges or other institutions by bank transfer. We will send you a sponsorship letter for the organisation where you are studying.
If fees have to be paid on line we will ask you to pay these yourself and send a receipt dated after your application. We will then pay you directly by bank transfer.
Payment for the Rose Grant Award will usually be made personally to you by bank transfer. For equipment and essential books (except when through the Rose Grant Award) we will ask you to pay first and send a receipt, and then we will pay you directly by bank transfer.
Payments must be made within 4 months of the date of the sponsorship letter (or equivalent), unless you have contacted the Trust to request an extension and this has been agreed by the Trustees.
If you do not have a bank account, contact us on grants@ruthhaymantrust.org.uk to arrange payment.
We cannot accept applications where the fees have already been paid before the date of the application.
